Jul 08, 2026
German textile manufacturer Trutzschler Group signed a contract with Fujian Leo Group for 10 4.2m ATB lines for LEO Phase IlI Factory, on 20 May 2026 at INDEXTM 26 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Shanghai-headquartered conglomerate provides products in the health sector. This signing with Trutzschler Group will allow Fujian Leo Group to complete large-scale production line upgrades, further consolidating its production capacity advantages and strengthening corecompetitiveness in the industry.
Air-Through Bonding (ATB) is a specialized technology used by Trutzschler Nonwovens to manufacture highly voluminous,ultra-soft, and liquid absorbent nonwoven fabrics. Softness has become just as essential as absorbency in modern hygiene care; brands must now achieve both luxurious comfort and uncompromised functionality.
Trutzschler commenced its partnership with Fujian Leo Group in 2022 with the launch of the first 3.8m back-to-back double carding ATB line. Since then, the production line has been recognized by Fujian Leo Group for its stable operating, production capacity and product quality. Benefiting from favourable cooperation results and well-adapted equipment performance, both sides have continuously expanded the layout and built up a matrix of intelligent production lines. Trutzschler Nonwovens' 4.2m ATB line has been engineered for the stable, high-speed production of ultra-fine fibers(0.4D, 0.6D, 0.8D). This line delivers precise processing of conventional hydrophilic and water-repellent fibers. This makes it an ideal choice for premium baby diapers and other modern absorbent hygiene products - delivering overall comfort and high-performance functionality. AtINDEXTM26, Trutzschler Nonwovens showcases how China has already incorporated ATB into leading baby diaper brands.
Prior to the signing, Fujian Leo Group had already deployed nine 3.8m Trutzschler high-speed & high-capacity ATB lines plus one 4.2m ATB line. The stable operation of the 10 professional lines has enabled Leo Group to achieve efficient and standardised production in the nonwoven materials sector. With this new round of collaboration, the two parties sealed the third-phase order for another ten 4.2mTrutzschler high-speed and high-capacity ATB production lines. Once fully put into operation, Leo Group will own a total of 20 Trutzschler ATB lines, forming a modern production system featured with scale, intensification and intelligence. The newly signed 4.2m high-speed and high-capacity ATM production line caters to large-scale production demands for high-end nonwoven materials, helping Leo Group optimise production structure, boost operational efficiency, cut production costs and expand layout in the high-end product market.
Enterprise representatives from both sides expressed high expectations for this strategic cooperation at the signing ceremony. Trutzschler officials stated that Fujian Leo Group is a core strategic partner in the nonwovens sector, and the two sides have achieved mutual benefit and coordinated development over the years.
Going forward, Trutzschler will continue to provide high-quality equipment, professional technical support and full-cycle operation and maintenance services to ensure efficient commissioning and operation of production lines helping Leo Group improve quality and efficiency. Meanwhile,it will take this cooperation as an opportunity to further explore China's nonwovens market, upgrade technological R&D and localised service capabilities, and empower more industrial enterprises with transformation and upgrading.
Leaders of Fujian Leo Group commented that Trutzschler's high-end intelligent production lines are perfectly aligned with the enterprise's long-term development strategy.
The signing with Fujian Leo Group was just one of three signings on 20 May at INDEXTM 26. Wisdom Greentechhas purchased a 200m/min high speed 4,200mm ATB line and Wangjin has purchased a CPC spunlaced nonwovens production line from Trutzschler Group.
